Alphas and Omegas

Yeah hi

I’m just a little underestimated

In my own right

Because I never learned

To put up a fight

When the walls closed in

I’d break and I’d bend

In order appear as fragile as I felt

They call it playing dead

They call it tucking tail

When you’re an omega

And you never tried

Because you assumed you’d fail

 

As I walk through the valley of wolves

All bearing their teeth

Waiting to take a piece of me

I straighten my back

And narrow my eyes

I refuse to appear weak

As they whisper their lies

I’ve been a victim for too long

It’s something I did to myself

Hiding behind my down cast glances

Regretting all the turned down chances

 

I lived in fear

Of every what if

Obsessing over things out of my control

But as I regain my composure

And muster the courage

That resides only in You

I know I’ll find peace within my soul

Beautiful poem of discovering where our strength lies. Self confidence and bravado will only carry us so far.The day comes for every person when they have to turn to a Power Higher than their own.
You write of meekness and being the Omega. You know that once we turn to Yaweah, His strength becomes ours.
