Old Guitars

Old Guitars

A Poem by Renegade

Old guitars and faded scars
Falling stars and broken cars
Melodies of times afar

Iridescent dreams
Of adolescent screams
Strange fluorescent beams
Around quiescent seams

All the thoughts that loom
Form the lines too soon
Around the crescent moon

Diatonic notes
Of ultrasonic quotes
Strange polyphonic boats
Around harmonics float

All the dreams unseen
From when you were a teen
Reflections on the screen

Disheveled souls
Have beveled goals
With level shoals
Around nestled tolls

Old guitars and faded scars
Falling stars and broken cars
Melodies of times afar
