APOCALYPSE

and they say it will come,
chaotic decisions, apocalyptic visions,
some will hide and some will run
food storage's, water shortages
clouds that blanket and block out the sun
religious prophecies, political mockery
lies to the face and ash in the lungs
children with kin will run from the winds,
mothers will cringe, children will sting
from radioactive Synge, flinch from firing pins,
fingers resting on reloaded guns

slash and burn what man has learned,
and then to mourn mounting wrongs
and acid storms, ultraviolet from the sun
bodies will lay in the depths of caves,
into graves one by one...
 
sufferings have only just begun,

they will still the rage with burning sage
for witch doctors and still born sons

to those who are blind
for the love of mankind
bodies lay waste by metric tons

in the name of defense
the countdown has commenced
efforts in pence, the one percent
all will watch the final run

what was old is new again,
in the twisted hearts of men
as they bow their heads and say Amen
inside their bunkers
of nuclear defense

countdown to commence
the only question is when?

something I have been seeing and reading about lately...people and prophecies...the end of mankind, doomsday preppers and the sort...just my rendition.

seems to end a tad abruptly, let it simmer a while maybe more will suggest itself.
