JOURNEY

there are no blueprints
only footprints left behind
on an unknown path, asphalt or sand,
in every heart lies a good man
 
there are things to be said
as well as things to do
actions are weapons
love of family is truth

 

stay humble as you grow
life will show you things
that will only pertain to you
metaphysically or spiritually
find your infinity
burn your flame
in red and blues

 

you will move on
from the guidance you know
on your own blessed with
the love your family has shown

 

be your own man
and make your own stand
have no fear when you rest
in Gods hands

Author's Note

My sister asked me to write a poem for her Son who is turning 21 in a few days, something about going out on his own and discovering life, becoming a man and being responsible, and so I wrote this for him.
