INNER BRAILLE

INNER BRAILLE

A Poem by Rene Velez

And the pins prick
I am timid in my bed of nails
her fingers tender to the touch
tracing, she reads my inner braille
I am blind to a world of love...

I am in darkness
her heart illumined
I struggle in her bouts of love
I always the unwilling groom

withdrawn as the moon....

my love, her empty room of
joyless and bitter tomorrows

her heart I have borrowed
filling her days with pain and sorrow,
emotions to scrape and pillage
she, willingly on her knees
but I am only a mere man in his image

men have no mercy

You've tapped into emotions that expose the dark underbelly of being a man.
Recognizing the consequences of such behavior from the point of view of the victim(s) seems to be the secret to overcoming it. Anyways...I think it shows a lot of character to be able to look beyond your own wants/needs and take a view of the bigger picture. This poem gives a much needed push towards the evolution of our society.

Wow, simply wow! I don't pass around too many wows, but WOW!

I don't have a whole lot of respect for men, lately, and for you to bash them with this poem is unimaginable.

You seemed to be writing from a women's point of view about a callous and unfeeling man. Which I feel it's spectacular and exciting for a man to write this way!

I find this an amazing write and can, only, remark, "WOW!"

What a humble image you paint with your brush. Inner brail?

She must have touched your soul.....

Few can make melancholy as beautifully as this. Art and truth always complement the other, and this poem is simply breathtaking. Wonderful.
