I grip tighter on the umbrella handle the autumn wind forces my hand a light rain drums a steady beat like the jazz beats of days past... I am lost among the streets of this urban landscape,
disregarding street lights meeting headlights head on Siren songs, the pulse of the cities reactions in an evening glow...
I glance among the occupied faces all busy in tow, to destinations they go, to loved ones they know, children happy in their smiles...
Rain water flows in the gutter washing the debris and clutter away,
red and yellow leaves sway, winter on it's way, Under an orange moon...
This is a brilliant piece. I have seen a few of these evenings this year. The sunset and the orange moon creating this beautiful picture. You have created a wonderful piece, sir.
I like the poem. I need a long walk in the city. Hard to find time to think with my life. I like the description. Made me feel part of the journey. Thank you for a excellent poem.
