COFFEE HIA Poem by Rene Velez
Purchase at the coffee shop
a few eyes and smiles greet me as i blend in with cream and sweet n' low i sit and sip slow and then came a question from a woman beside me that i didn't know "What are you writing?" and i reply... "I write of sunny days, the sea and air or of death and despair of rainy nights when trees are bare for struggles and humanity when no one cares like wondrous old tales left on a rocking chair from the darkest thoughts to skin so fair the loves I've shared and of love impaired expression is rare poems i share" and then she grabs my pen and on my pad she writes TELL ME MORE... © 2011 Rene VelezFeatured Review
