WALL STREETA Poem by Rene Velez
have you seen it yet?
isn't it clear? people walking in the street with the look of fear as they cheer for the children on the bridge of tears and the lepers stake their claim to the new frontier rejoiced and revered where goodness disappeared where lawyers and their spears swing from chandeliers and bleed the careers of sacrificial volunteers; hearts for souvenirs, Jupiter's eclipse manned by engineers the Mayan calendar year floods the inner ear jobs to shear for the American auctioneer to raise the top two percent for the fiscal year the eagles feast then they disappear © 2011 Rene VelezReviews
