FIVE DAYS A WEAKA Poem by Rene Velez
A pay raise, extra change
but not within my budget and I find that strange left wanting more from commodities I exchange like being trapped in a marriage where the love is prearranged a gun to the head without a practice range I have baggage unclaimed... dipped and pummeled by the waves of s**t that floats downstream traversing slippery rocks that tumbled mans dreams but my image is clean stuck between a rock and a rat race to occupied to even think straight Tony the Tiger says they're great and I agree at a quarter to eight at the bus stop I wait...to greet the bus driver with Colgate breath pay my bus fare and sit next to death... © 2012 Rene VelezReviews
