CAMPSA Poem by Rene Velez
The chambers were cold,
every heartbeat sold for stale bread...half dead from desperation, dreams, only dreams would let them free, from the tyranny, from the agony, from the heinous side of humanity, horrors, testing faith, no escape, traces of human fumes, heirlooms to desecrate, only the sorrow, no eye for tomorrow, submission, without debate, with only one guarantee, extending the family tree. © 2019 Rene Velez |
