DISTANCEA Poem by Rene Velez
There's an acceptance,
some sort of hope, severe expectations in society's hoax, you have a right to scream, stuck in someone else's dream, never finding a lucky penny, when the few outweigh the many, we move in rhythm, in a caste systems of authority, insistence on wasted existence, in a body of inequality, bodily bound, subliminally sound, callous hands for a mission, while kings and queens keep their distance, in modesty, no need for chains they are afraid of the discomfort of change, and so they stay in tow, to and fro, in the status quo of human commodities. © 2019 Rene Velez |
