THERAPY

THERAPY

A Poem by Rene Velez

I didn't play my part
not as well as I thought,
I had good intentions,
but no inventions
to advance society,

I have shared space
with too many to count,
but I take into account,
what is fair...
with a certain flair,

my spiritual therapy,
my sacred geometry...
hope, left in immortality,

even days that tend
to weigh, are days
I may stray
from my serenity,

but in red, purple sunsets
I find myself again,
in their profanity,
in their decay.

Life as we live it - seldom as we wanted it. And yet we own it.
