INHERITANCE

INHERITANCE

A Poem by Rene Velez

People are still paying
the price for another
person's stupidity,
Innocent people are
still dying because of
white supremacy,

What are we?
We are human beings,
still disagreeing,
about what color should
be dominant, which one
should rule,

Ignorance is a useless tool,
a dull sword wielded by fools.
who claim to be patriotic,
a true American, but came
by boat as immigrants too.

visitors to a land they claim,
Inhertitants of a human stain,
that evil can only demand,
that takes, just one man
wishing blood on his hands.
