COMPLACENCY

It comes with it all
the good the bad
enlightened or mad
and it never asks
will never call

it just gives
the life we choose
the life we live

a reality all our own
a future unseen by
blood and bone

Step by step
we're made to flex
with the wave
mostly alone
so we must be brave

complacency
we should never choose
because in the end
we all must lose.

I am feeling a bit like this poem today...lol. Complacency seems to be way too common place in every facet of life as of late. Is it just that we don't believe that we can't make a difference or that the rest of life just takes it out of us and lulls us in? Not sure, but the tone of this piece is just perfect and provides a good deal of fodder for thinking today. Great job!
