SHORT CIRCUIT

SHORT CIRCUIT

A Poem by Rene Velez

Flashing lights,
at the corner of an eye,
a mad dash, and
caregivers at the ready,
clinched teeth and
punctured tongue,

Short curcuits
into connections,
too small to see,
too small to fix,

question upon
questions, looking
for answers,
looking for time,

time playing
hide and seek
in a room with
no windows,
or access to me.

Very good use of description. I felt the thoughts and the description of the location. I could see. You made the situation come alive. Thank you Rene for sharing the outstanding poetry.
