REFLECTION

REFLECTION

A Poem by Rene Velez

I miss your warmth.
You sitting next me.
I see your face in
the infinity of stars.

I hear your laughter
in the passing wind, the
twinkle in your eyes with
your forever smile.

Kisses we exchanged and
conversations we shared
when daylights conceded.

Like children, by night,
we danced upon dreams,
dreams we dared to share.

But time, an enemy.
Now...
I sit by your silent window,
waiting to close mine,
just to see your reflection.
