SILENCE HAS A SOUND

I wonder sometimes...
Sometimes I wonder
what the moon would
sound like if I struck
it with rock,

would it sound like
a baseball crashing
through a window?

or like the soft thud of
a marshmallow thrown
against a wall?

would it sound like
an egg cracking
before a morning
breakfast?
or sound like
Sunday church bells?

maybe it would sound
like loose coins
hitting the floor?

it seems as if
the moon makes
no sound
...but even silence
has a sound.
