A SIMPLE, THANK YOU

Connections, connections, 
some I’ve had a long time
before the online, and some
new, one’s I feel close to, 

either by words, where we sat
upon the verge, or an inner purge 
where the mind and soul converge, 

in a special way, on a special day 
they have taken the time, to say 
a kindness beyond simple words, 

a piece of humanity, 
a scoop of morality, 
and a sprinkle of care, 

a simple, thank you, to my friends,
to the new, and the old ones
I’ve known since way back when,

thanks for the wishes
thanks for the time,
time enough to share,
time enough to care.
