WHERE THE BLIND BELONG

WHERE THE BLIND BELONG

A Poem by Rene Velez

Eagle
with a disabled wing,
spiraling, losing its flair,
falling from its majestic air,

watching, is the sightless
king, silly grin, cynic of the skin,
champion of the single win,
and
in his making, a colorless
nation, liar of everything,
a kingdom in a sling,

thespian of the horn,
bringer of the dawn
of alienation, creator
of false information,
a violent song
in his world of wrong,

and silent in its fall
from grace, an eagle
deep in its descent
through haterd of race,
in Babylon,
where the blind belong
