STRING AND WOODA Poem by Rene Velez
Between the
laughter and sips of wine, dangles the marionette, quiet and refined, pieced together by string and wood, hanging by the fire as if it stood, and to the host who makes a toast to memories of old, howling of their win with pitchers of gold, feeling regal as can be, to victories and the defeats of enemies, while a marionette dangles quiet and refined, without a thought or a single judgement in the eyes. © 2017 Rene Velez |
