HIDDEN PEAKS

Show me everything
there is to see, not
in the sky above but
beneath the sea,
exploring all, to the
ocean floor, and scores
of fish never seen before,

let the currents pull
over hidden peaks,
while whales sing
their communal songs,
where I don't belong,

rainbow reflections,
flickering through
underwater schools
like liquid jewels,
let me witness living
illuminations in the
deepest black,

then back up
to the sun shining
on shallow reefs,
and I, in disbelief,
that life can flourish
between the smallest
cracks...No matter
how brief.
