THE DARKEST BLACK OF UNHOLY WINDSA Poem by Rene Velez
I will sail against the
setting sun, on rolling seas, in the treacherous throes I would be, braving creatures of the deep, of fairy tales, you are to me, in the darkest black of unholy winds, the light so ever true, guided by midnight's stars in my hungry pursuit, there are no holds for an aching soul, barriers I will not avoid, memories no longer fill the void, of this heart you have stowed, I long for the sailor's cry your embrace overdue I'd gift every star for you, no man more, adores than to be upon your shores. © 2017 Rene VelezReviews
