BIDDING THE BAD, ADIEU

BIDDING THE BAD, ADIEU

A Poem by Rene Velez

I, generally moved
in a fast pace, in
a narrow space, a
member of the rat
race, in a frenzied
state,

I was the rabbit
with tunnel vision,
not the life that I
envision, a mind
and soul in division,

about things to
pursue, choices
to review, to get
a clearer view,
bidding the bad
adieu,

which brought me
to a crawl, a certain
happiness, I can't
recall, our souls
calling within us all
...heed the call
...heed the call.
