WALKING IN THE COLD

WALKING IN THE COLD

A Poem by Rene Velez

:We saw grey clouds
covering the moon,
on that last, long walk.

Untying memories we shared.
We disassembled the things
that brought us together
with severe words.

Fitting, the Sun would
not witness the end, which
gave light to our beginning.

We are all the sinner,
forever searching, we,
no longer to breathe
the same air.

Though, we knew a change,
the moment we touched
hands and felt how cold.
