I AM HERE

I am here
and you are here,
there is nothing to fear
from me, can we
coexist? we must try and
mend this rift between us

If I spoke would you listen
and hear my plea?
there are certain areas
where we would agree,
there is not much difference
between you and me,

let us see beyond
the differences and negativity
let us move to a place
where we can be free

of judgements and be civil
with a level of respectability
our differences are small
in the grandeur of it all,

how can we expect to win
if we can not see past
the color of our skin

The land has turned into
a human stain, in the end,
we all cry and bleed the same.
