I DON'T KNOW WHYA Poem by Rene Velez
Sometimes I take a long sigh
before I begin a new poem. I don't know why. Maybe it's because I go in not knowing what the subject matter may be and let it float haphazardly like a dandelion seed in the wind. I am free and not many can see beyond the daily turmoil they call life. They walk in strife with no faith in an afterlife because most would not trust anything if they could not grasp it with their hand, but such is man. Sometimes too late to realize the importance of time, the reason of a rhyme within God's canopy. Yes, with eyes we may be but most cannot see beyond the ideals of monetary needs. Prepared to fight and bleed instead of laying by the sea. take a moment to breathe. Grab a strangers hand and together take a stand for the greater good. Though most wouldn't change even if they could. © 2016 Rene Velez |
