THE RAVENOUS TREE

THE RAVENOUS TREE

A Poem by Rene Velez

They vent in the extreme,
by any means necessary,
they think revolutionary
but they strike by religion
not by dreams...

Lost by what they mean,
from tragic scene
to tragic scene,
the philosophy hereditary,

there is no God willing
to look through their window,
even when submitting, knees
bent, hands to the heavens,
souls left in limbo,

Marked by Adam and Eve,
apple of the ravenous tree.

I think it''s really supper cool, I think it really rocks. Hey, you know? I could make up a song for how cool it really is!
"You rock,
you win,
your play it again,
you really get it goin'
the songs, the songs keep flowin'
and who knows what else you can bring?
Hey, hey, duties are duties."
Like it? Think so.
