THE PITCHA Poem by Rene Velez
Close the curtain
and pull the lever prepare for the sham, we vote for a voice, we vote for a choice, with no counting of woman or man, fake the revelry, hollow, the pitch, country in ditch, classic bait and switch, dangle the eye candy, magician's slight of man, for every ill an elixir in this maddening caravan, sell felled ballons and confetti on the weak and the petty hard to believe it's not planned, information in demand, wretched is the hand Stretched for the Fatherland. © 2016 Rene Velez |
