FORWARD TOWARD CONTROVERSY

Its hard to believe
in something more
when violence and war
reign in their vitality
Somehow the older
I become the smaller I feel
out growing this box
of constructed reality
but time has no mercy
and moves forward
toward controversy
and I feel the need
to say humanity is not worthy
of the creators grace
we have lost face
and found comfort
in the eye of the storm
where the lines are blurred
between right and wrong
I, at times may seek
the solace of a song
when feeling withdrawn
or seeking a truth
because important answers
are no long sought by the youth
like they were
today they prefer to stir
propaganda on social media
fact check on Wikipedia
instead of fighting for a cause...
Here, I pause.
