HATEA Poem by Rene Velez
I will not associate it
with the color black. It is transparent and real, a void of confusion left to fester in the deep recesses of the mind. Civilizations have been built with its relentlessness and indifference, executioner of humanity, stealer of the last breath and blood, yet smiles adorn the very faces that would deny its existence, and slowly blind those before infection, where the heart continues to beat, but now, without purpose. © 2015 Rene Velez |
