SMALL DARK SPACES

SMALL DARK SPACES

A Poem by Rene Velez

I occupy your space,
miles away, that small
dark space, in your remote
corner of insecurity,

from the corner of my eye
I catch a glimpse
like pieces of glitter
and confetti, at midnight,
on New Years Eve,

but I am on the outside
of your bubble, and still
I can feel the electric tremors
of your shaky existence,

I am but a reflection of
your perception.
