HISTORIC PASSAGEA Poem by Rene Velez
Past the double tree
and over George Washington, we thank Henry Hudson for the view. Major Deegan always with a slow procession leaving blank faces and frustrated hand gestures to the tunnels and rusty underpasses like hyperactive moles we go finding traction along the straighter way and pigeons in flocks, overhead like dive bombers in formation, circle away above the nearest roof tops. © 2015 Rene Velez |
