SHOELACES

It is your right of passage,
there will be crossroads
and choices made through
loopholes to gain a foothold,

sometimes you will repeat
to make ends meet
through trial and error,
failure is only the lesser half
of success,

nimble fingers
and a firm tongue
will support what is needed
to meet the task,

and
if things come undone,
know the signs,
it's about the details
when it comes to lacing
them up one at a time.
