PHOTO OPA Poem by Rene Velez
They were feeding by the curb,
just before the hill, on the way to get gas, too slow on the draw missing the opportunity, I walked down the hill. a city boy giddy about geese. bigger than I imagined at close view. One raising its head inspecting me. dumber than it imagined at close view, it never took its eyes off me as i snapped away with my camera phone, knowing full well who was on charge. © 2015 Rene Velez |
