SOMEWHERE IN BETWEENA Poem by Rene Velez
Birds singing at sunset,
an after dinner walk in the cool breeze, small exchanges of the day, a smile and a laugh fit somewhere in between Birds singing at sunset kids on bikes race in the parking lot, we, within our steps cross with a cautionary eye, Birds singing at sunset we reach a bench and sit taking in the darkening sky like lights dimming before the opening curtain to an evening ballet. Birds quiet after sunset nestled by the stars and their evening glow. © 2015 Rene Velez |
