PIER FRIESA Poem by Rene Velez
Parachutes they fall
in a sky dabbed in water color, stars in her hair, shimmering like salt water taffy, in time she walks by the pier, sharing pier fries with an oil painted smile, lady bugs dance and elephants float when she plays, hiding Atlantis in her eyes a rubber ring in hand, a prized teddy bear and stuffed giraffe, while evening clouds make cotton candy. © 2015 Rene Velez © 2017 Rene VelezReviews
