SOMEWHERE INSIDE

Let me slap you on the note pad
and get a rise out of you,
me
digging deep for pain
like school girls pulling hair,
let me floor you in your chair
and wake the imagination
somewhere inside,
yes
we are desensitized
from the human order of things,
dropping thoughts
on social media
like coins in an empty well,
while watching blurry video
clips of random life.

Let us pass through the
video screens into the
windows of the soul
and
learn to live again.
