I HOPE

I would kiss the hand of God,
I would bow my head knowing
I am not worthy to gaze upon him,
I am but a shadow in his light,

I would shed a tear in his comfort,
I would ask forgiveness and thank hm,
I would thank him for the gift of life
and pray that I used his gift well.

His silent touch would be my greatest joy.
