BEFORE THE FIREWORKSA Poem by Rene Velez
The purple, pink
and orange hues, sunsets for us to marvel, not even Afremov could bleed such beauty, Steel stretches hindered horizons past, to be young and not witness such wonder is indeed a sin placed upon the soul, there, in the urban hole, small homes make space for clearer skies, color pallets of patience and free reward, a lounge chair and popcorn as she sets before the fireworks in the evening sky. © 2014 Rene Velez |
