It's in the eyes
the way you touch
thoughts take on pictured
mental scenarios of love

a joyous kiss
a comforted bliss
of knowing through
sleeping breaths
warm bodies at rest,

speak your name and in
an untimely connection
you are here

not near to God
but we are close

and you are mine.
