Weaponry Words

Use your words carefully, no matter if you say them, or type them. Words are powerful. They can heal, or they can destroy.

The heart stops with each word,

like a sword piercing the soul.

The words are strong and powerful,

and it seems so out of control. 

You think things might change,

if you just give it a little more time.

Pain now has a different range, 

and fighting back feels like a crime.

The words spill out like fire,

burning the kindness inside you.

Your mind has found you a liar,

and now no one stands beside you. 

Your hope is turning to ashes,

for every mood change day to day. 

Your soul copping so many lashes,

you don't know if you can run away. 

You know what is taking place,

you have been through this before.

Just because it isn't face to face,

it still hurts so badly to the core.

If only they knew the power they possess,

to destroy whats left of your heart.

It's not that you care any less,

but you just can't let this restart.

Words and how you interpret them.
Many a person has lost their job for inadequate words.
But I actually think we're becoming a bit PC these days.
But as they say. If you've nothing nice to say, don't say anything.

Yes, this world is certainly PC! I don't mind humor, and throwing some curse words around, but the weaponry words I speak of are the ones who can come from someone you care about. You know, those words that they might not think break your heart, but they can tear you to shreds. I speak of verbal abuse :)
