Lost At Dark

Lost At Dark

A Poem by Renaye

In my chest beats a lost heart,
silently broken, seething with regret.
Blindly allowing my soul torn apart,
and yet how much worse can it get?

I ask for nothing that I can't give,
my honesty perhaps my kryptonite.
So many moments I'd never relive,
and now I only search for the light.

As I sit alone and wish for clarity,
but to obtain it is an impossible task.
Would God grant me an act of charity?
And answer the questions that I ask?
