Fire and Water

Fire and Water

A Poem by Renaye

On this planet that we live so bound,

Entangled in life’s darkest places.

A true kindred soul has been found,

Among so many unfamiliar faces.

The uncertainties and rage are now shared,

Everything is now just amid us two.

For this we were both unprepared,

Now our tie is sturdier than glue.

In the stormy weather we both stand,

Against all this world’s nastiest thunder.

We do so, always hand in hand,

If you go down, I will trail you under.

My brother we stand strong this day,

Shoulder to shoulder we shan’t fail.

Water shall wash the fire away,

As your vices start to set sail.

This could be a Soldiers poem, brothers in arms.
Good friendships last forever, even if you don't see each other for long spells.

Thank you, Paul. That means a lot.
On the face of this it appears a rhyming poem about friendship or love but it has a sad undertone?
