Thanks For The Heartbreak

Thanks For The Heartbreak

A Poem by Rena Beau
"

A quick snippet. It's definitely free-lance. But, well, love doesn't know how to explain itself.

"

As close as close could be, you and I,

Please, explain how you could've done this to me,

Over and over again, and why couldn't I see?

Everyone tried to point out your lies,

Maybe this was exactly how it was meant to be.

Although you broke my heart in two,

Boys have those silly things they do,

Oh, and by the way, this new one that's come along,

Understands what I need to have.

That's something you never had.

Orion's belt now shines through my eyes,

Varied by words of a different kind,

Everything thing he's ever said,

Reminds me of all your never saids.

Come, take a walk with me,

Over through the fields we'll go,

Maybe then you'll see,

I can let you go.

Never again will I dispair,

Grateful am I, for your heart break.

Author's Note

Rena Beau
Ok, I'm not usually a big poem writer, so, please, forgive my choppiness and such. It was actually typed as it came to me, which is why the thoughts jump so much. It's like when you're thinking about how you're hungry, and about what you want to eat, but then you realize you don't have money, which reminds you, time to go to the bank. Etc. Enjoy it all the same.

Nice write. I like the creativity, but I look forward to reading some of your other stuff to find an identity to your work....

I like the thought behind these words and no, I don't think the flow is interrupted anywhere.
Nice write.
