Because the Sky Also Cries

Because the Sky Also Cries

A Story by Bat-Becca
"

Tried writing a little something everyone could relate to.

"
A young girl walks through the halls of her school, silent and with no expression. She may well have been a ghost.
But she was not. She was very much alive, very filled with emotion, and inside she was screaming and sobbing.
Yet she holds back her tears. Why? Fear of the people around her seeing and holding it against her forever? In a few years, she won't even remember their names or faces. They'll be shadows of the past, blurs in her memory. If she doesn't care about them, why should she care what they think or say anyway? Why should she hold back?
Even the sky cries, sometimes rivers of fluid. Shameless and non-caring, the sky sobs and wails; tears falling relentlessly; what we know as lightning, thunder, and rain.
If the sky has no shame in its tears, why should she?
That's the thing. She shouldn't. Because the sky also cries.
