Sun was low

Sun was low

A Poem by Oren Giovanni
"

This occasion

"
Many days iv'e spent walking this dirt road,
each step iv'e taken seemed longer than the one before,
leaving everything behind to visit my ghost town,
in it, nothing but haunting memories of you and I,
somber zombies plaguing my streets,
soon this town of mine will consume itself,
aftermath of a broken spirit, left to be eaten by the ghouls.

Closer and closer the end shines through,
releasing my pheromones that once belonged to you,
every step i take is closer to that mysterious heaven,
tried to balance my life on a safety pin,
in the end the dullness became my demise for you,
never again will i stand this pain,

intensified by every word you say,

Left me to be obliterated by the power of love,
over and over the surgeon you are repaired my shattered heart,
vicious and vulnerable were your two favorite words,
every day you loved to press them against my skin,

You'll never see me again, not in this light,
or in the darkness that consumes your bitter soul,
unless of course, you give me one big kiss.

I'm a regular kind of different. I'm 18 and have no confidence in my writing really, people seem to like it, but as long as it puts a smile on your face, inspires you, makes you challenge me, as long .. more..

Writing
again again
