Death TrophyA Poem by Rem SevvenWritten January 26, 2011.Sitting at the table,
With my napkin on my lap, Staring at a trophy- And the trophy's staring back. All it does is look at me, Daring me to take a bite, Hoping I'll show sympathy, Hoping I will do what's right. I put my fork back on the table; Move my cup and eat some bread. I want to eat, but I'm not able- To eat the meat when I am staring at the head. © 2011 Rem Sevven |
