Water, Water, All AroundA Poem by Rem SevvenA poem dedicated to those who died in New Orleans during the flood caused by Hurricane Katrina.
Death from an element of life,
Tainted with the death of innocence. A swift and futile fight Waters dark with disease, Fed with the death of innocence. Hearts that see only night, Even in the day, Hearts that lost their fight, Smothered by the flood waters. Water, water, all around, And not a drop to drink. Trapped in a sea of poison; Tainted with the blood of innocence. © 2011 Rem Sevven |
