If Death Could Die

If Death Could Die

A Poem by Rem Sevven

If Death could die,
Who would take him to where the spirits lie?
If Death could talk, what would he say?
If Death could walk, would he walk my way?
If Death would write a story, what story would he tell?
Would he give us his life's history; a gloomy show-and-tell?
Would I die if I shook his hand;
Would he disobey that fate's command?
Locked in his strife, I ask you why,
One can live life, but death cannot die?
