Not Your CinderellaA Poem by Rem SevvenWritten November 12, 2013.I lost my glass slipper at the ball, Running away from a man both dark and tall. We were dancing slowly. We were about to kiss. He thinks he is in love with me. Oh I never wanted this. It fell somewhere behind me, But I dare not turn around, Or my glass slipper will not be the only thing- Left lying on the ground. He said that he's in love with me. He tried to steal a kiss. But him and I we disagree, And I never wanted this. Perhaps I will be forgotten, He'll not try to track me down. His love for me will grow old and rotten, And he won't think of me and frown. But his love for me is foolish. His love for me is blind. So no matter how far I run, I dare not look behind. © 2013 Rem Sevven |
